The rash can also be caused by the reaction to diapers, diaper wipes, laundry detergent, lotion, or by the elastic present in pants.

Various creams and ointments are available in markets to treat diaper rash, but they are costly and may also cause further skin allergies sometimes. So it is better to choose helpful home remedies to treat diaper rashes. Here are some of the preeminent and effective home remedies for diaper rash.

Oatmeal

Oatmeal is one of the fast home remedies for diaper rash. Saponin and Protein present in oatmeal encourages harmless healing, and it also helps in preserving skin’s protecting barrier. Put one tablespoon of dried oatmeal to warm bath water. Let your baby soak in this oatmeal water for at least 10 to 15 minutes. Reiterate this process two to three times a day.

Baking Soda Bath

Baking soda is one of the eminent remedies for diaper rash that essentially works. There are two ways for applying this solution. Put two tablespoons into the bathing tub filled with water and let your baby stay in this water for ten minutes, repeat this process three times a day for best results.Take two tablespoons of baking soda and add them to 2 to 3 cups of water to dissolve. Before you change your baby’s diaper, wash your baby’ behind with this solution and pat the area before changing the diaper.

Yogurt

Yoghurt can also help in healing diaper rash rapidly and efficiently. Apply a consistent layer of plain yoghurt directly on your baby’s bum every time you change diapers and repeat this process for three to four days for curing your baby’s butt.

Vinegar

Using apple cider vinegar is also one the best home remedies for diaper rash because of its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antibiotic properties. Take one teaspoon of vinegar and put it into about half a cup of water. Stir it well and pat the solution on the affected area with a fresh cloth and make your baby’s bum healthy.

Breast Milk

 

Breast milk is truly one of the most effective and least expensive home remedies for diaper rash. Breast milk helps in fighting infections and soothing skin with not any risk of allergies. Rub a couple of drops of breast milk on affected area and allow it dry naturally before changing diapers.

Shea Butter

 

Due to its anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties, shea butter is one of the preeminent home remedies for diaper rash. Vegetable fats present in shea butter may also help in improving blood circulation and promoting cell renewal. Rub shea butter in your hands gently and pat it on the infected area and leave it for some time before putting new diaper.
